ALEX LORENZ
Alex (she/her) joined CCSPP as a Program Coordinator in 2024 to support the expansion of our education offerings with a focus on lethal means safety, including the Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) training.
Her personal experience with suicide and mental health challenges have shaped her professional path and desire to work in this field. In her previous roles, Alex gained experience in program coordination, project management, operations, and administrative leadership. She has worked across a range of settings, from a large professional services firm, to small businesses and higher education.
In every position, she has wanted to better understand how we each experience meaning, suffering, connection, and joy, and how support can be tailored to different individual and community needs. Alex is a certified QPR Instructor and an Authorized CALM Trainer, and hopes to continue to learn and grow with the organization.

KAYLA SHAFFER, MPH
Kayla (she/her) leads outreach and community engagement efforts at the Chester County Suicide Prevention Partnership (CCSPP), where she focuses on building real connections, raising awareness, and helping people understand where to turn for support. Much of her work centers on strengthening relationships across the community and making conversations around suicide prevention feel more approachable, visible, and human.
This work is deeply personal to Kayla. Shaped by lived experience and a strong connection to the community she calls home, she brings empathy, honesty, and intention into everything she does. She believes that even small moments—starting a conversation, sharing a resource, simply showing up—can have a lasting impact. Whether she’s planning events, working alongside partners, or connecting with community members, her goal stays the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and not alone.
Kayla holds a Master of Public Health from Tufts University, where she focused on suicide prevention, mental health equity, and community-based approaches to care. She cares deeply about closing the gap between awareness and action, and about helping create a community where reaching out for support feels possible—and where no one has to go through difficult moments on their own.

ANDREW REIGLE, M.Ed.
Andrew’s (he/him) passion for Social Emotional Learning, mental health advocacy, healthy relationships, personal boundaries, and work-life balance stems from his upbringing. He is a product of significant trauma involving poverty, substance abuse, sexual abuse, suicide, the foster care system, and negative family structures. Leading to his own attempts at suicide and issues with mental health, he struggled to find himself as a young adult and into the first part of his career. After years of struggling to come out, he finally found belonging as a member of the LGBTQ community and refocused his efforts.
His goal is to spread his story of hope and resilience through effecting change at the systemic level. Under his leadership, more than ten emotional support, clinical support, and integrated mental health treatment programs have been strengthened, developed, and/or implemented in Philadelphia and across the surrounding five counties. These programs provide safe and positive learning environments for students ages 5-21 and include a blend of school-based supports and integrated clinical treatment. His lifelong goal is to afford every student an opportunity for successful development in a nurturing environment, something he lacked as a child.

CARLI MEISTER
Carli’s first definition as a healthcare professional was as a nurse; a calling which grounds her to the present day. Her career was a diverse one, with opportunities starting in Montreal, then to several rewarding positions and locations. She ultimately landed here in Chester County, all brought about by her husband Paul’s work as a farrier for performance horses. Carli spent many years as a psychiatric nurse and then shifted into senior management roles which have encompassed program development, patient experience and risk management. She and Paul moved to Pennsylvania in 2001 and soon after Carli joined the leadership team at Chester County Hospital until her retirement in the spring of 2025. Retirement has welcomed both new relationships and new ways of how to be of service to others; an invaluable experience.

She is a previous board member of the WCU Community Mental Health Clinic and started a scholarship in her son’s name for clients to be able to access funds for treatment.
